Hands down the best food in Aberystwyth. Everything they serve is superb quality and extremely well priced compared to other places. I had the chicken gyros with lemon couscous and feta salad and was blown away by how good it was! Even the butter they served with the bread was out of this world!

I've been to various spots for breakfast in Aberystwyth, as I have an hour to kill when I'm waiting for my train home and Y Gornel is now my go to. The food is next level, quality ingredients, prepared and plated with care. The service was exceptional. At attentive and considerate. I had several bags and the staff kindly did a level of table service to the outdoor seating that meant I didn't have to move from my table, they even brought a jug of tap water without my asking, in case it saved me a trip. My only con is that I tried it as I was leaving and I'll have to wait to be able to further sample their creative and fresh menu.

The first time trying their food and wow I was not expecting that the food was soo good . The atmosphere was cozy and the menu does change so your lucky if your get something U like and wanted to try it again nope ain't happening that's the beauty of it. Every meal is devine.

The food is amazing quality and prepared to the highest standards. There might be a little wait for food as it is all made from scratch, this is not one of your fast foods. The chef and staff are all lovely and so welcoming. They also sell their own sourdough bread. Cakes are fantastic and great coffee. I am reluctant to recommend this hidden gem, it is one of my favourites!

Absolutely spot on. Best coffee we’ve had so far in Wales, delicious cakes and very good service. Just wish we were staying longer in town so we could try out their savoury food too.

Had the most delicious lunch here while visiting the town, I think the best thing we ate in all Wales. It’s a must-stop, the linguine and the lobster were amazing but the goat cheese salad was to die for.

Had an amazing meal here.. the quiche was so good and my husband really enjoyed the seafood risotto. I also had an oat milk latte that hit the spot. Great place for a meal or for a coffee. We stumbled across it behind the market. Was nice to be off the high street, a quieter vibe than some other cafes we visited which was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone who considers themselves a foodie! we will definitely be back next time we are in town
